AEA Sessions: Nick Mancini – Vibes Solo

Nick Mancini’s powdery piece

Vibraphonist Nick Mancini performs an improvisational vibraphone solo in a haze of powder in this AEA Session. With every key coated with baby powder, each bar strike causes the ascension like clouds with the hit of the mallet. Captured with a pair of N8s, the spaced mics are covered with a pair of the NUVO Windscreens that protect the ribbon from the exploding powder.
